About AfriBase Paints
We make paint in Polokwane and we apply it across South Africa. Every property has a story, but not every story has the colour it deserves.
AfriBase Paints was founded in 2018 by Gramme Butao after acquiring a range of paint formulations developed over more than ten years of research. The brief for those formulations was clear: balance environmental responsibility, durability, quality and price.
Today the company works across the paint value chain. We manufacture, distribute, supply and retail our products, and our own teams handle application, waterproofing and protective coating work.
